The truth is, there is always a message from the Lord but will you be a messenger?
As I shared at an author's workshop today, everyone has his or her story to tell. We have all been through something, endured or survived something and are overcomers. In order for your pain to have purpose, you must reach the audience that God has designed just for you. How? OBEDIENCE. Whenever I prepare for a speaking engagement or networking event, I ask God to give me what words He would have me to say. (I do the same for these blog posts.) I know I have a gift for words and am an engaging speaker but there is an extra special touch when your words are seasoned with God's grace. What He told me was: there is always a word from God but will you be a messenger? Isa. 6:8, KJV: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. I am not going to tell you that God created your pain or was responsible for your pain. What I will say is that God can use your pain and give it purpose. He can use it not only to transform your life for the better but provide healing and restoration to thousands of others. During my childhood abuse I was an avid writer and poet. That gift saved my life and now saves the lives of others as I share my testimony. I am blessed to have lived long enough to see my pain and its purpose in action. Not to shabby for someone who once prayed to die! So, how will you immortalize the pages of your life? What will be the legacy that you leave on this world? Think about it, be prayerful but go forth! Do not sit on your anointing or blessing; some needs what you have and it may just change the world!
